Quality Assurance and Test Automation

Product Description

With the frame grabber, images, videos, and data can be captured, inspected, and stored via the available interface modules for quality assurance. This enables automated quality assurance in continuous integration processes, particularly when developing embedded devices with video interfaces.

How the Frame Grabber Works

As shown in the block diagram, the frame grabber is connected to the video interface of the device under test. When image or video data is output, the frame grabber processes the signals and forwards them as images via the network interface. PCs connected to the frame grabber can use the included test software to check if the image or video output of the device under test meets the specified requirements.

Output Interface Extensions

Through optional interface modules of the frame grabber, the device under test can be brought into specific states. Subsequently, the output to the display or data interface is captured by the frame grabber and compared to stored reference images. When integrated into the quality assurance process, automated test reports can be generated. In case of detected deviations, image, video, and data logs can be compiled into an error report.

Video Input Interfaces

Due to its modular design, the video input interface can be easily customized to meet customer requirements.
Here is a selection of the interfaces that are already available:

  • LVDS
  • DVI
  • DPI (parallel display interface)
  • RSDS (reduced swing differential signaling)
